The agreement
By engaging S Care Companion for PSW staffing, the client (family or facility) agrees to these terms together with the written quote and any signed placement schedule.
Scope of service
S Care Companion places Personal Support Workers. The PSWs operate within PSW scope — personal care, mobility, meal preparation, supervision, companionship, and the associated daily routines.
Quotes and pricing
Every quote is provided in writing, in Canadian dollars, before the first shift. Rates depend on the shift shape, the city, and the audience (family vs facility).
Cancellation and notice
Standing-order placements use the notice terms agreed in writing at the start of the engagement — typically two weeks for facilities and one week for family arrangements. Single-shift cancellations follow the schedule confirmed at booking.
Insurance and compliance
S Care Companion carries insurance and is WSIB-compliant. The placement remains within PSW scope; if the client’s care plan involves services from another regulated-care provider, those services are arranged and contracted separately.
Replacement cover
Replacement cover when a scheduled PSW is unavailable is part of the engagement. A Care Coordinator places a different PSW from the named team and confirms the substitution in writing.
Disputes
Disputes are addressed in good faith between the client and a Care Coordinator. The written quote and schedule are the reference documents for any disagreement.
